Here's How Andy Cohen Injured Himself Filming WWHL
The WWHL host called himself an "idiot" after the moment happened on air.
That's a wrap... for the summer, at least. On the August 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, host Andy Cohen opened the show with a message — and an injury.
"Hey everybody, welcome to Watch What Happens Live: @ Home from the Hamptons. I'm your host Andy Cohen for what I'm told is the last show of summer. And what a fun summer it's been. I hate you, summer. I hate you, summer. I hate you," he declared as he mushed up a plastic cup in frustration at what a year and summer 2020 has been amid everything that is happening in the world.
Then he realized seconds later: "Did I cut my lip? Oh my god, look, you guys, I cut my lip. Accidents, but I got that out of my system."
He later reflected on the moment when he injured his lip on the edge of the broken plastic cup on Twitter, writing, "I am truly an idiot."
The night's guests, The Real Housewives of Potomac's Karen Huger and podcast host, writer, and comedian Phoebe Robinson, each expressed some concern over the injury, which you can check out.
Of course, while it's been a very different kind of summer for the WWHL host and, well, everyone, Andy has found the perfect companion to spend his days with: his son, Benjamin. We're sure now that Papa Andy has some time off, the twosome will find even more fun ways to pass the time.
