The Summer House Season 5 Interview Looks Are Hotter Than Ever
The Summer House cast spills the Season 5 tea in Hamptons-ready summery fashion.
We are that much closer to a fresh season of Summer House filled with poolside shenanigans, drama, and a few new twists. Our beloved crew of summer roommates have been "quaranteaming" for Season 5 and, for the first time, lived the high life together 'round the clock. Thankfully, you won't have to wait until the premiere on February 4 at 9/8c to see all the sexy, interview looks from the steamy, socially distant season that promises to be unlike any other.
Dig out your bikinis and chill the rosé because Amanda Batula, Carl Radke, newcomer Ciara Miller, Danielle Olivera, Hannah Berner, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Luke Gulbranson, and Paige DeSorbo are back to provide all the flirty summer wardrobe inspiration you needed. The ladies of the house brought their signature mix of playful and cool style to their interview outfits with classic, scoop neck silhouettes and lots and lots of ruffle details in shades of blush, coral, and blue. The guys kept things casual and sometimes collarless in a slew of breezy button-downs and henleys in a range of seaside hues.
Below, the cast members themselves dish the details of their smoldering interview ensembles in this Bravo Insider exclusive first look.
Amanda Batula
“My top is Tiger Mist, the necklace is 8 Other Reasons, earrings are ALV Jewels and rings are Boho Moon. After wearing oversized lounge clothes for so many months (which I still do), I figured this was the perfect opportunity to show some skin and wear something with a bit more structure. Honestly, my summer tan inspired my look. I wanted to go more natural and not too done up since I've pretty much gone without makeup since March. I tried to give myself some beach waves, and wore minimal makeup with a set of false lashes, because... why not?
"Choosing an interview look is one of the most difficult things for me to do — what I normally like to wear doesn't always work on camera, and it's also hard for me to commit to one look. I somehow seem to figure it out every time, but I could do without the stress of trying on so many outfits.”
Carl Radke
“My look was inspired by my love for polo shirts, and this Goodlife polo is made of terry cloth which is super soft and comfortable when you're sitting under hot lights getting grilled about the summer. My blue henley is also Goodlife.
"When choosing, I went for solid colors, like navy blue, pink, yellow, baby blue, and I typically like v-necks, henleys and polos. I try to find clothes that are comfortable and fit well because the camera is very unforgiving.
"As for my hair and makeup, [there's] no real inspiration. I just try to look tan and keep the same hair I had in the summer. We don't have hair and makeup support this season due to COVID. I do my own hair using Sunbum texture spray and Oribe products. I use whatever makeup they provide us at the studio and apply myself.”
Ciara Miller
“My top in this look is from Zara. It's a basic bodysuit that I LOVE and have in multiple colors. When picking an interview look, I aim to choose something with life and color, something that feels Hamptons-esque, and that will also complement my skin tone and features without being too distracting. I feel like this color made my brown skin glow!
"My makeup is inspired by Stephen Moleski, who is very big on skin that looks like skin. I have on a natural foundation and natural contour, a little light under the eyes, and brown liner. And of course, [I] can’t forget a killer highlighter. I swear by Becca Cosmetics Chocolate Geode highlighter. It creates the perfect glow.”
Danielle Olivera
"For my first interview look, I wanted something bold, bright, and feminine, so I went with this ruffle trim cami top from ASOS. For my hair, I've been particularly inspired by Camila Cabello lately but I haven't been able to get it cut quite like her so I consulted my pseudo hairstylist Amanda Batula. She likes it when I part it down the middle and felt it worked well with my top and minimalist jewelry. In general, for all of my interview looks, I get help from my friends. It takes a village!"
Hannah Berner
“Tie dye sweatshirts are so in right now during quarantine, and this is the next best thing to a sweatshirt! When picking an interview look I’m all about comfort. If I feel good, I’m more relaxed, vulnerable, and confident. In order to feel my most comfortable, I cut the tag off this tank and I have idea where it is from. I’m sorry!”
Kyle Cooke
“My interview looks are impromptu and consist of my favorite brands. To be honest, quarantine inspired this exact look. I wore an UNTUCKit short sleeve collar shirt (that was a few years old and has been sitting in my closet), a Grand Frank watch, a pseudo mustache and flavor savor. I treat my hair to Oribe products (especially the molding paste and wax) and fully embrace hairspray.
“My denim is from Zara, shirt from Rhythm.”
Lindsay Hubbard
“I wanted to switch up this interview look to something different than anything I’ve done in the past. I chose to go with a little softer, more elegant and classic look with this ivory corset top from House of CB, Chanel button stud earrings from Tinsley Allison Designs, and my hair pulled back. I’ve never had my hair up in any interview look before, and considering we had to do our own hair & makeup this year (due to COVID, of course), this was the perfect time to do a simple yet classy low bun.
“Since we all know I love drinking rosé during the summer months, I chose a no-frills blush-colored body suit from Urban Outfitters for this interview look. Paired with straight hair and thick gold hoops, this look is pretty much identical to how you can find me any other night during the summer time.”
Luke Gulbranson
“My brown Henley is R_Co, and so is my jewelry R_Co. I just wear whatever is simple, and I like henleys because they are easy and comfortable. My hair and makeup usually consists of me running late, hopping in the shower, putting on a hat and showing up. I don’t spend time doing my hair or make up — I just like to be myself.
"I bought my blue henley at a boutique shop, so [I'm] actually not sure of the brand."
Paige DeSorbo
“My new interview look is one of my favorites if not my most favorite! I found my flower top from Zara and was inspired by the queen of New York City, Carrie Bradshaw. If Carrie did confessionals on Sex and the City, she would definitely wear this. I went for a simple makeup look because I really wanted the focus to be on the huge flower sitting on my shoulder.
"Choosing an interview look sometimes stresses me out way more than it should because I love having the perfect outfit. I always want my looks to be different but remain true to my style. After a lot of FaceTimes with my mom showing her options, I try to pull together the perfect hair and makeup to match the vibe of my top. My favorite thing to do is pick out clothes so picking out interview looks is a perk of the job!”
