Lindsay Hubbard Debuts a Fresh Look After Cutting Off Her Own Hair
The Summer House cast member took control of the scissors during a recent trip to the salon: "It's called the long shag."
Lindsay Hubbard has clearly embraced the “new year, new look” mantra.
The Summer House cast member took to Instagram this week to share a glimpse at her 2024 “skincare/beauty journey,” which included Botox injections, laser hair removal, and a Forma Tightening facial with radiofrequency technology. Although her list of treatments was relatively extensive, Lindsay's “refresh” wasn’t quite done.
On Saturday, January 13, the public relations specialist returned to social media to unveil her latest beauty update. Lindsay posted an Instagram Story of her trip to Julius Michael Salon, her go-to destination for all coif-related matters. The first video showed Lindsay sitting in a salon chair as she held several inches of hair in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other.
Lindsay Hubbard cuts off several inches of her hair
“You know what, Lindsay? Cut it yourself!” someone was heard shouting in the background.
“Is this a DIY salon that we’re at?” Lindsay said with a laugh before chopping off several inches of length. “Was that good?”
“You cut it better than I would,” the person behind the camera said.
But don’t worry, Lindsay eventually handed the scissors to her long-time stylist Arturo Ortiz, who completed the rest of the cut.

About an hour later, Lindsay lifted the curtain on the final look. She uploaded some mirror selfies in which she showed off her arm-pit length hairstyle with soft layers.
“Arturo on the scissor game!” she captioned a Story before joking about the hairstyle name. “It’s called the long shag. I said, ‘I’ll take the long shag.'”
What's next for Lindsay Hubbard?
Lindsay refreshed her look ahead of the highly anticipated Summer House Season 8 premiere, which will shed more light on her breakup with Carl Radke. The castmates confirmed their romance in January of 2022 and became engaged nearly eight months later. Lindsay was set to walk down the aisle back in November, but those plans were squashed after Carl called off their engagement late last summer.
The shocking split was teased in the Summer House Season 8 trailer, which showed the former couple in a tense exchange about their relationship.
“I want you to be happy,” Lindsay said in the preview, to which Carl replied: “I’m not happy and I don’t think you’re happy. You need that in a relationship, you need to have the power over the other person.”
“Well, there’s no more point to this conversation. You’ve made the decision clear,” Lindsay said before exiting the room to call her dad.
“[Carl] told me he wants to call off the wedding and break up,” Lindsay said over the phone. “I feel very blindsided.”
Summer House Season 8 premieres Thursday, February 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.
