We Have a Major Update on Danielle Olivera’s Fashion App
The Summer House entrepreneur revealed some exciting news about the business venture she’s been working on.
On Season 6 Episode 5 of Summer House, which aired in February 2022, Danielle Olivera opened up about a major career move. “I decided to quit my job in corporate fintech to start my own fashion app,” she stated during an interview on the episode. “This app is a make-or-break situation, so I’m scared out of my mind.”
Fast-forward to March 2023 and Danielle revealed more details about the app, noting in an Instagram “Ask Me Anything” session the technology’s primary goals. “Knowing what’s in your closet, knowing how to style what’s in your closet, connecting you with style experts, help shopping, [and] help getting rid of what you don’t need,” she shared at the time.
Moreover, Danielle told The Daily Dish in March that she was planning to get the app “into beta by this summer,” calling the project a “labor of love.”
She added: “I have an amazing team, but it’s a small team. I’m looking to raise some capital so we can expand it and get it done a bit quicker […] we are starting this from scratch. A lot of it has been built, and it’s really exciting,” she continued. “I actually can’t wait to get into the [Summer House] girls’ closets so I can get them to start using it. They’ll be my first app users, so I’m pretty excited for that, and hopefully that will happen by summer.”
Now Danielle has delivered, launching the app with an appropriately fabulous (and fashionable) party.
Danielle launches her fashion app, Donne
On August 24, Danielle took to her Instagram Stories to re-share numerous photos from her friends and professional acquaintances who attended the launch party for Donne. The app, which helps users “digitize” their wardrobe, according to the company’s website, had a sleek, fun opening, with colorful signage surrounded by florals. “Congrats Dani girl on a successful launch night!” Lindsay Hubbard wrote over an exterior snap of the space.
Samantha Feher also caught a shot of Danielle and her business partner, Jim Brocato, as the pair spoke about the app. “[S]o proud of you my girl,” Samantha wrote over the photo. “[Donne] is ready for the world… but the world ain’t ready for Donne.”
In addition to seeing some of the party’s stylish decor details, we also caught a view of some of Danielle’s Summer House pals’ stunning looks for the evening.
While Lindsay and Danielle had their share of challenges on Season 7 of Summer House, they seem to be working things out these days, as Lindsay and her soon-to-be-husband, Carl Radke, showed their support for the occasion in head-turning outfits.
Lindsay wore a bright yellow satin blazer and matching trousers, pairing the style with strappy silver heels and pulling her hair back into a chic ponytail. Carl opted for a long-sleeved black button-down shirt, slim white pants, and brown suede boots.
Carl went on to share a photo of himself and Danielle’s mom, also giving us a closer look at Danielle’s stunning look for the evening: a multicolor beaded crop top and matching cropped pants with sparkly details, paired with slingback Mary Jane pumps.
Additionally, Paige DeSorbo and her Southern Charm boyfriend, Craig Conover, brought out their best threads for the evening, with Paige rocking a chic black strapless minidress and black strappy heels, while Craig donned a black T-shirt, khaki pants, and black sneakers with thick white soles.
Ciara Miller also attended the event, evoking downtown New York City cool in a white long-sleeved cropped button-down shirt, short black shorts, and black strappy platform heels.
