Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green's Valentine's Day Gifts Were on Another Level
The Southern Charm cast member also explained the couple's "very contrarian" way of celebrating the holiday.
Shep Rose seems to be a whole new man since things have become more serious with his girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green. Besides the fact that the loved-up duo basically live together, it appears the Southern Charm bachelor-turned-boyfriend has picked up an interesting new habit: wearing matching clothing with his significant other.
In a recent Instagram post, Shep opened up about how the lovebirds celebrated Valentine’s Day—a holiday they seem to honor in their own unique way.
“We like to do Valentine’s Day on February 15. Very contrarian,” Shep explained in his caption. “First we got some sweet shoes from [Stubs and Wootton] for each other. And (scroll) more matching each get ups and a heart Hawaiian shirt from [Kenny Flowers.] Yep, we are ready for spring and summer alright.”
In the post, Shep first shared a photo of their new matching velvet loafers. While Taylor’s featured an Valentine’s-themed embroidered design of Rich Uncle Pennybags, the mascot of the game Monopoly, Shep’s pair was designed with a fishing rod and bait motif.
In the next photo, the couple rocked matching swimwear: Shep styled his pink and white striped swim shorts with a festive button-down shirt, while Taylor wore a coordinating one-piece and kimono.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Charleston couple twinning. On the January 7 episode, they wore matching toucan swim trunks to Madison LeCroy’s private island beach party, despite the dress code.
Although the couple looked super cute in their tropical suits, Shep later explained why they weren’t in keeping with the party’s theme. “Madison, I did not receive an email about attire. Was that on purpose? Did you want me to be the odd duckling?” Shep asked during the party.
On Twitter, Shep hinted that he may have had a clue about the attire guidelines. “Y’all it was so hot on the island. July in Charleston! No way I’m wearing a button down and pants,” he wrote. “Momma didn’t raise no fool.”
