Shep Rose Explains Why Cameran Eubanks Wasn't the Listing Agent in His Home Sale
The Southern Charm cast member had a very good reason for not turning to his former castmate and realtor to sell his house.
As Shep Rose said goodbye to his Charleston home in a recent Instagram post, his former Southern Charm costar Cameran Eubanks reflected on her role in helping him get the abode.
"I remember selling it to you," the realtor wrote in an Instagram comment. "Seems like a lifetime ago!"
Shep replied, "Yep. A long 6 years ago. Palmer wasn't even a glint in your eye."
When a follower chimed in to ask why the Cameran wasn't the listing agent, he explained that he had Cameran's approval to move ahead without her. "I spoke to her beforehand. She typically only works with buyers," he wrote. "And so I had her blessing."
Shep announced he had sold the home in a post on January 12. "I built and lived in this naughty little house for a few years a while back and have been renting it to friends ever since," he wrote. "Sold after only 14 days on the market for the price we wanted."
While Cameran wasn't involved in this particular sale, she has often given Shep real estate advice over the years. As Southern Charm fans may remember, when he was in contract on a 3.5-acre parcel of land, he gave Cameran a call to get her opinion on the investment property. In an interview during the Season 6 episode, Cameran didn't hold back when sharing her thoughts. “I would never invest in this land,” she said at the time. “All I see is money going down the toilet. Money pit!”
Later, Shep admitted Cameran's instinct was spot on, telling her, "It's gonna be challenging...how did you know that?" to which Cameran quipped in an interview, "What do I really know about real estate? I mean, I was only in the top sales of my company last year."
