Leva Bonaparte's "Dramatic" Makeup Look Is the Ultimate New Year's Eve Inspo (VIDEO)
The Southern Hospitality boss is sharing her top tips for "glowy" makeup and sparkly fashion to help you ring in the new year.
From her stunning ensembles at BravoCon to her incredible look for the Southern Charm Season 9 reunion, Leva Bonaparte has wrapped up 2023 in a series of jaw-dropping styles — and she's not done yet.
As the Southern Hospitality boss gets ready to welcome 2024, she's showing BravoTV.com exactly how she creates a look that is perfect for any New Year's Eve celebration. Unsurprisingly, you can expect gorgeous makeup and eye-catching, sparkly fashion.
Leva Bonaparte's New Year's Eve makeup tips
"For nights like this, I'm gonna usually do either a very glowy eye or a smoky eye and a neutral lip," the restaurateur explains in the video above before giving step-by-step instructions on how she does the latter.
To start, Leva shares her trick for perfectly defined eyes that she says "most people don't do."
"You guys are probably going to find it weird," she explains. "I actually, like, contour my eye. My son says I look like I have a black eye."
Leva uses the Divine Bronze Luxe Quad eyeshadow palette from Pat McGrath Labs for her eye contour before moving on to another product to complete her eye shadow. "I like really pigmented shadows," she says, showing the White Peach eyeshadow palette from Too Faced Cosmetics. "I like to do a dramatic eye on New Year's Eve because when else are you ever gonna do a dramatic eye?"
Once her eyes are perfectly dramatic, Leva moves on to "a little bit of coverage" on her face with foundation and then uses KVD Beauty's Good Apple cream foundation balm to contour. As she adds concealer and then blends it out, Leva notes, "You could put ten pounds of makeup on my face, and it's just like, my face eats it."
For the final touches, Leva adds Ilia's Color Haze multi-use pigment as blush and Huda Beauty's Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Sugar Cookie. After applying mascara, she finishes her face with her "favorite" Divine Blush from Pat McGrath Labs and declares, "It's such a fun, pretty blush."
Leva Bonaparte's New Year's Eve style
Once her makeup is complete, Leva moves on to fashion options for the big night. First, she tries on a sparkly pink "cute dress" before moving on to an Alex Perry ruched metallic minidress.
Her final option consists of an embellished long-sleeve crop top with satin pants and sparkly drop earrings. "For a New Year's Eve night, I think this would be the one I'm gonna pick," she says.
