Kathryn C. Dennis Dyes Her Hair Back to "Season 1 Kathryn Hair, Just Less Magenta"
The Southern Charm stunner debuted a fiery new look on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
She’s baaackkk. Late in September, Kathryn C. Dennis shocked us all when traded in her signature long fiery red strands for a short strawberry blonde lob. Now, after several months of trying different variations of blonde, the spunky Southern Charm-er has decided to go back to her ginger days.
On Monday evening, the South Carolina mom debuted a new look on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and it will give you serious flashbacks of Southern Charm Season 3. Her latest hair color is a bright auburn hue, which looks just like the shade she had at the Season 3 reunion. Hours before Kathryn’s WWHL visit, her longtime hair colorist, Chelsea Shea, teased that Kathryn was going to make a big reveal that evening.
So what exactly made Kathryn decide to go back to her ginger roots? The Charleston beauty told The Lookbook that it was time for a change: "I had the blonde for a solid year and I just was ready for something new. It makes me feel kind of like me again, it’s like Season 1 Kathryn hair, just less magenta." She also seemed very please to have long hair again, which she says is more in her "comfort zone." Added Kathryn, "It’s hard to match your natural red, so I just went with one that’s a little darker, maybe a little more hip."
And now, without further ado, Kathryn's ginger return:
For her big reveal, celebrity hairstylist Julius Michael created voluminous waves with Hidden Crown hair extensions in her freshly dyed hair. As for her choice of ensemble, Kathryn went with a white pantsuit, which allowed her new red hue to stand out. She completed her look with a sexy red lip created by celeb makeup artist Priscilla DiStasio.
While we certainly grew fond of Kathryn’s lighter blonde strands, we cannot deny that we're pretty excited to see Kathryn go back to her signature 'do.
