Meghan Markle's Ex-Husband Had Rather Curious Timing for His Wedding (Yup, He's Remarried)

Meghan Markle, who? The Duchess of Sussex's first husband, Trevor Engelson, is a married man — again! And his wedding date is almost a year to the date after his ex tied the knot with Prince Harry. Coincidence? Hmm... 

Indeed, the film producer tied the knot with his longtime love Tracey Kurland on May 11. Markle and Prince Harry also have a May anniversary; as you may recall, the pair got married on May 19, 2018.

And then, consider this: Though Engelson's recent wedding (pic here) differed quite a bit from the royal wedding — as, alas, most weddings do — it wasn't all that different from his beachy 2011 wedding to his first wife. One wedding had sand races, the other had cornhole. See what we're saying? Also, though his new wife's not royalty, she's about as close as it comes in America. Kurland is an heiress, and her dad is a very successful banker.  

The May wedding date isn't the only thing about Engleson's romance timeline that seems, well, coincidental. The producer initially proposed to Kurland just two weeks after the 2018 royal wedding. Of course, his wedding also came just a couple of weeks after the world met Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. 

But seriously, though, it's likely this all is just coincidental, and that Engleson didn't actually have his ex in mind when planning his wedding.

After the birth of the royal baby, a source had this to say about the newlywed's reaction to the news: "Trevor doesn’t really think about Meghan, as he’s in a very happy relationship and about to be married. He will not be reaching out to congratulate them, as Meghan and Trevor no longer speak.” 

But just in case there is more to the story, perhaps Bethenny Frankel can drag it out of him. The Real Housewives of New York City entrepreneur might work on a project with Engleson someday.
