Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Are Co-Parenting So Well, It's Almost Scary
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have some surprisingly great advice for other parents.
Viewers of Keeping up with the Kardashians have been accustomed to seeing Kourtney Kardashian clash with her ex and father of her three children, Scott Disick, onscreen for many years, but in a new video posted to Kourtney's site, Poosh, it seems like they're super chill now, and it's all for the children.
Kourtney has dated a few different people since she split with Scott, who seems to have settled in with Sofia Richie, the 20-year-old daughter of singer Lionel Richie. While things between Kourtney and Sofia might have taken a while to warm up, Kourtney learned to accept Sofia is now a part of her kids' lives and they have reportedly gotten to a good place.
Now, Scott always invites Kourtney on his trips with the kids and Sofia. Kourtney sometimes joins them and sometimes lets them have their own time, but the gesture seems to have brought them closer; they don't fight over holidays or birthdays.
"I'm not gonna make our kids miss out on things just because we couldn't figure out how to be a couple," he told her. "And by the way, I don't think people will be able to live their lives if they do it that way maybe, so it's not our [role] to tell other people how they wanna live."
Scott told Kourtney sometimes he feels like she's putting him down, but he doesn't judge her for it because he knows her well and that her intentions are good. Kourtney admitted she hasn't always been the best communicator post-split, but it's gotten better.
"I think I was afraid to tell you certain things because I thought I didn't know how you would react," she said. "So just being able to communicate [is better]."
"I think at the end of that day... you and I realize that we're both on the same team," Scott said, perfectly summing it up. "It's not brain surgery. We made a plan and we stick to that plan and it works!"
