Not Only Is Meghan Markle Having a Second Baby Shower, It’s Being Hosted by Kate Middleton
Looks like the royal family is hopping on this very American tradition.
As if the royal baby would have just one shower. After Meghan Markle celebrated her wee one with her closest friends (and a cotton-candy machine) at a shower in New York City, it looks like a second bash is set to take place in the UK. And, guess who's hosting it?
Even though rumors abound that Kate Middleton and her sister-in-law aren't exactly besties, it's said that the duchess of Cambridge will be in charge of planning the Duchess of Sussex's baby shower in England, a source close to the palace told Us Weekly:
"There is still going to be some sort of private baby-centric event for Meghan’s U.K. people, and Kate will host. Her glam people and other relatives will be there. Not sure if it’s a total baby ‘shower,’ but you could probably call it that."
That sounds like an interesting guest list! We wish we could casually drop into conversation: "headed out with my glam people." It has been well-documented, though, that Markle is close with both her stylist Jesica Mulroney and her makeup artist Daniel Martin. In fact, the latter "glam person" even posted photos of the cute cookies from Markle's first baby shower.
On a different note, is having two baby showers becoming a thing? First Andy Cohen did it; now, Meghan Markle is. They say three makes a trend, so we'll wait to see which celeb doubles the fun next.
