Here's Why Busy Philipps Thinks Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams Would Have Reconciled
The new talk show host thinks maybe "it wasn't the end of the story for them."
Busy Philipps and Michelle Williams are BFFs for life, and Busy is godmother to Matilda, Michelle's daughter with the late actor Heath Ledger. But although Busy, whose self-titled talk show will soon debut on E!, took some heat earlier this year for commenting on Michelle's relationship with Heath around the 10-year anniversary of his passing, she opened up even more about her friends in her new book This Will Only Hurt a Little.
“He and Michelle were in the process of separating at that point, and I felt sad for both of them but weirdly like something would be figured out and it wasn’t the end of the story for them,” she wrote in the memoir. “They were so young and that baby was the light of both of their lives. They were just working all the time and it was complicated.”
Did Busy cross the line? Not if you ask the newly married Michelle, who appears unbothered by this possible revelation — she attended Busy's book reading in Brooklyn and continues to support Busy as her BFF.
