Brody Jenner Says Caitlyn Jenner Canceled on His Wedding a Week Before: "She Had Better Things to Do, Apparently"

Brody Jenner has been opening up about his relationship with dad Caitlyn Jenner on the TV series The Hills: New Beginnings. In the new episode, he revealed Caitlyn canceled on Brody's wedding in Bali last year on one week's notice.

“Not having my dad at the wedding, it was a bummer," he admitted in the show. He questioned her truthfulness in bailing at the last minute. “Honestly, it really did hurt. I would have loved to have had her there, but she had better things to do, apparently.” Brody and mom Linda Thompson have forgiven Caitlyn, but haven't forgotten how much it hurt them.

In a later scene with Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's son Brandon Lee, Brody said, "Caitlyn Jenner doesn't really know how to express her feelings and ultimately you get sick of it because you want to have a real conversation and you just never can get there."

Brody revealed on a previous episode that he barely saw the athlete formerly known as Bruce Jenner much when he was growing up.

“I didn’t really grow up with my dad,” Brody said during a dinner party scene. “When I was really little we got to spend a little time. When he started, obviously, the family with the Kardashian family and all that, I didn’t really see much of him.”

He added in an interview for the show, “Bruce was just never really around — every so often, maybe once every couple years. Wasn’t around for my graduation, wasn’t around for most of my birthdays so, yeah, it really wasn’t any relationship. It was very surface.”
