Once Again for the People in the Back: Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Aren't Gonna Be BFFs
Reports say the two Duchesses are "civil" — ouch!
No one would expect Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton to star in a real-life version of Thelma & Louise because they aren't BFFs IRL.
They “will never be best friends, but they're civil,” one anonymous source told Us Weekly. And in the view of another nameless tattler, that's because the duchesses come from "two different worlds."
But a third source who wouldn't be named has told the publication that the two are bonding over one of their new commonalities: motherhood.
The two are constantly and unfairly pitted against each other publicly, and Markle's perceived missteps are increasing Middleton's stock, says one royal expert — it's OK that they're not besties, but they're probably closer than what is being portrayed by the pundits.
“Meghan has this sense of isolation being in the U.K., subject to cruel British media," a fourth source told Us Weekly. "Her hands are tied and she isn’t allowed to defend herself. It has been very difficult.”
While they probably won't be double dating at the pub any time soon, hopefully their bond is deepening beyond the public eye.
