What Does Yolanda Hadid Think of Gigi and Bella's Controversial Nude Photo Shoot?
Here's what the model mom had to say.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Yolanda Hadid is a model mom — she even has the television show to prove it. After a modeling career of her own, now she's been helping her superstar daughters Bella and Gigi navigate the world of photo shoots and beauty campaigns. After such a long in the fashion industry, do you think she's scandalized by nudity?
That would be a no. TMZ caught up with Yolanda on the street and asked her straight up what she thought of the racy photo of Bella and Gigi in the newest issue of British Vogue. As a quick refresher: the girls posed nude together for a black-and-white shot that's sparking controversy online. Some are even going as far to call it a "vulger" or "incestuous" photo.
Yolanda is paying the haters no mind. "I love it," she told TMZ when asked about her daughters' British Vogue photos. "Love the skin you're in, baby," she added cheerfully.
But then TMZ brought up the strong reaction some commenters had to British Vogue editor in chief Edward Enninful's Instagram post about the photo. "This gives off weird vibes," one posted, while another asked: "Why would you put sisters in that pose?"
Some Instagrammers really went there, writing things like: "This is so vulgar and incestuous @edward_enninful. Thought you were aiming to change the industry. Not feed into it’s[sic] strange morbid fantasies."
At that point of the interview, Yolanda responded with "No comment," adding "I'm not going to down that road."
For what it's worth, neither Bella nor Gigi nor Yolanda have posted that particular photo on their Instagrams yet. But the photo from Steven Meisel has its fans too. Plenty of Instagrammers left comments like "ethereal" or "just stunning," and "ain't sexual unless you make it."
