Helen Mirren, 72, Shares a Makeup-Free Photo to Prove Beauty Has No Age Limit

When we grow up, can we be like Dame Helen Mirren? The 72-year-old acting legend seems totally fearless in her career and personal style (remember when she dyed her hair pink?). That applies to posting makeup-free selfies too.
Mirren gave her Instagram followers an inside look at what it's like to go to the Oscars, including behind-the-scenes shots. It all kicked off with an "I woke up like this" no-makeup selfie before her makeup and hair session.
It's no surprise, considering Mirren's inspirational attitude on aging. She told the Today show that she's against airbrushing, and she's all about embracing getting older. "You either die young or you get older. That’s the reality," she said. "I don’t want to die young. I never did want to die young. I’m too curious about life.”
She posted an "after" photo too, showing the village of stylists, makeup artists, and hair gurus who helped her get Oscars glam.
"Beautiful with or without makeup!!!" That's what one commenter wrote on Mirren's Instagram. With that, Mirren went out to claim the title of Oscars 2018 MVP, tequila shot on the red carpet and all.
