The Charter Guests Have Some Questions for Chef Ben Robinson...

Captain Sandy Yawn has made no secret of her enthusiasm to get Chef Ben Robinson back on the Sirocco after a rocky run in the galley on Below Deck Mediterranean this season. She's said she's "blown away" by his ability — and she's even stated confidently that he could win on Bravo's Top Chef (in the Bravo crossover of our dreams).

Sandy told The Feast that from the very day he arrived on that vessel, "that day, from America, he walked on the galley two hours before the charter boarded, and he whipped out the best lunch ever."

She gushed that despite his own technical difficulties with intermittently working burners, Ben pushed through with the confidence earned from his extensive experience, and "set the bar for the charter, whereas Anastasia could not do that."

It was indeed Ben's intention to start out with a bang as a way to ensure high expectations for the guests for the duration of the charter.

"You gotta kill it on the first meal," Ben himself said. "It sets the stage" for the whole charter.

And while his service wasn't received flawlessly by the guests, Ben has nevertheless retained Sandy's full faith and confidence.
