The Last Below Deck Med Charter Promises a "Fun" Preference Sheet — and a Few Problems
Though the crew hopes for a "smooth" final charter of the season, there seems to be "one problem after another."
Over the years on the Below Deck franchise, we've seen some interesting preference sheets. From the Below Deck Season 8 wish list that caused a chef to temporarily quit to the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 list of demands that included a 10-course meal, let's say we've been entertained.
On Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8, the crew of the Mustique has made it through many challenges along numerous charters. For the last charter, however, can they handle the final guests' preference sheet?
The final Below Deck Mediterranean charter guests' preference sheet
In the clip above, which is a preview of Episode 15, Captain Sandy Yawn gathers chief stew Tumi Mhlongo along with chef Jack Luby and bosun Luka Brunton to discuss how they would be serving their final charter guests.
The guests first asked for a "Mediterranean tasting and wine pairing" for their night one dinner and a "chef's choice" lunch on day two — details that appeased chef Jack.
As for their activity demands, they proposed visiting a "local beach club" on the second day and enjoying a "foam party" in a pool for some feisty fun.
For that evening, the guests asked to get dolled up for a "Hollywood glam red carpet party" and also noted to Luka they wanted all the water toys out for "max fun."
"I'm sure we're gonna end on a high note," Sandy says. "We can do this!"
Tumi also gave her reflections on the past season and what could be in store for the final charter. "This is the last charter of the season ... I need it to go well even though we're super exhausted," she shares in an interview. "As a first-time chief stew this is my last impression with Captain Sandy. My hope for this one is just one smooth charter."
The Mustique crew faces bad weather on their final charter
Despite the promising preference sheet from the guests which excited the crew for what's in store for their final charter, the weather report wasn't exactly "max fun."
Sandy first took note of possible stormy seas ahead two-and-a-half hours before the charter as she checked out a troubling weather forecast.
"Holy sh-t, that's terrible," Sandy muttered to herself.
Later, the captain brought Luka to the bridge to discuss the forthcoming drama brewing in the Mediterranean sea.
"Check it out: we've got that," Sandy shared with the bosun, who, upon seeing the disastrous weather ahead, let out an exasperated, "Geez!"
"We have a warning," Sandy explained, also noting that the seas were "getting bad."
"Even though it's sunny, the wind's blowing hard, and the wind kicks up the seas," Sandy said in an interview. "There are no boats outside the marina right now, everybody's docked here, you can see all the boats lined up. It's the final charter. It feels like one problem after another problem."
Sandy concluded with an ominous sentiment: "If I took off, I would be a bad captain, and everyone would be seasick."
