Yolanda Hadid's New Diet Is Seriously Impressive
The #RHOBH Housewife gives us a special look inside her daily diet, plus reveals the food she misses most.
For most people, it takes a lot of willpower to stay on a healthy diet, but for Yolanda Hadid there's a much bigger incentive than a bikini body: She's trying to regain her health while battling Lyme disease.
"You know, I've learned in these past four years that a lot of toxicity that is in our body comes from food and preservatives and the things we eat," she told Bravotv.com. "I've gotten really serious these past couple of years about eating clean, eating healthy foods--fruits, vegetables--and it really takes down the inflammation in my body and my symptoms are less. I'ts not a cure but it definitely is a very important part of getting well."
Yolanda has also talked about her anti-inflammatory diet in her RHOBH blog:
I’m am excited to start another healthy week of nourishing my body with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, energizing and immune-building foods. During this week I will be consuming over 35 different types of vegetables and 14 different types of beans, nuts and seeds.
You really are what you eat, especially for those of us who battle chronic disease. Keeping the inflammation down to a minimum is key and relieves a lot of symptoms.
She has taken to Instagram to give an inside look at what her weekly meals look like, putting everyone else's idea of a diet to shame.
She even sings the praises of drinking bone broth.
Sadly, there is one food Yolanda is desperately missing: Hamburgers. But since unhealthy foods are few and far between for her, she's able to enjoy them even more.
"Last night on my way to Watch What Happens Live, I had a big fat slice of pizza, and I haven't had that in years, and I just sat there, and it was the most delicious thing, and I said to [my health advocate] Daisy this morning when she came, 'Tonight, I'm going to have another piece.' Sometimes you just have to be bad."
