Scheana Shay Is Making a Major Hair Change: See “Phase 1” of the Process
The Vanderpump Rules cast member recently revealed how she is switching up her ’do.
Over the years, Scheana Shay has played around with various hairstyles, from dusty pink highlights to long platinum locks to a faux lob, which included some master work from hair pro Julius Michael. And in August, the Vanderpump Rules cast member kept her signature brunette strands down and long for her wedding to Brock Davies, slicking the sides behind her ears for a subtle yet glamorous nod to the 1960s.
More recently, Scheana decided to take on another hair change, debuting a lighter hue in an April 2 Instagram Story.
“Phase 1 of lightening has begun,” the now-highlighted brunette beauty wrote over a snapshot in which she rocked a lightly curled-under lob at Erik Gutierrez’s Agence Salon. While Scheana wasn’t yet rocking a bright blonde ’do, her language indicated she was in the process of transforming her dark brown locks, currently showing off the sun-kissed brown color with caramel- and sandy-colored highlights.
The hair switch-up makes us wonder if she was inspired by her beau’s recent dramatic chop.
But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the California mom change her look.
Back in October, ahead of BravoCon 2022, Scheana revealed how she decided to switch things up with a fresh cut, posting a stunning selfie to her Instagram Stories with a view of the new ’do.
“New hair, who dis,” the podcaster wrote over the social media share of her sideswept lob, tagging Santa Monica stylist Natalie B. in the photo.
Scheana’s new hair journey makes us think about a post she shared a few years back that showed off a long platinum blonde hairstyle. Could the vlogger be working toward a hue that’s that light and bright?
In the May 2020 post, Scheana celebrated her mother Erika’s birthday while giving us a peek at her super light hair, which was parted down the middle and styled straight, with a subtle darker color at the roots. Though it was only temporary, the blonde hair definitely made Scheana look so much more like her mom.
Scheana has rocked platinum blonde hair on a few occasions in the past, although primarily via wigs that she wore for special events. In October 2017, she wore a blonde wig with two different costumes, the first being a skeleton bodysuit that she wore to a Maxim Halloween party.
