Katie Maloney Explains What Goes Into Her Style: "It's Self-Expression"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member revealed why she likes to mix pieces that are "unexpected."
Over the past year, we've been keeping up with Katie Maloney as she's shown off some bold, scroll-stopping looks on her social media accounts.
In August, for example, the Vanderpump Rules cast member wore a skin-baring style that included a cropped Chicago Bulls jersey and a sheer black lacy midi skirt. Then, in December, Katie joined several other Bravolebrities for Kathy Hilton's holiday party in another sheer black look: a long-sleeved mesh top and long black ball gown skirt that was the perfect mix of edgy and elegant.
Speaking of her style, in a recent Instagram Story, Katie fielded questions from her followers in a Q&A session and someone asked about her style. Keep scrolling to see how Katie responded.

During the Q&A session, one of Katie's followers asked the brunette beauty to "describe the vibe" she goes for when "putting together an outfit."
Katie responded, "It varies (obviously) but it always depends on my mood. And I usually match my mood or try to invoke a mood." The sandwich shop owner continued with her answer by offering more insight into what "moods" she may try and take on.
"[Interpret] this however you want but sometimes I'm like damn, I feel like wearing something slutty," Katie answered. "And other times I'm like I want to wear the baggiest clothes I can find. I like [to] mix media and patterns and textures and things that are unexpected."
Katie concluded her post by writing, "It's self expression and I just wear what I think is fun and FEELS GOOD [at] the time."

Katie has definitely been showing her range of looks lately on her Instagram page and Stories.
Early in November, for example, the West Coast resident made us stop in our tracks when she snapped a mirror selfie in a cropped white T-shirt, black zip-up hoodie, and black wide-leg jeans.
The T-shirt in question wasn't any old tee, however, as Katie pointed out in her Story. "Ridiculous t-shirts feed my soul," Katie wrote over the photo, which showed the T-shirt that featured a nude-like imprint of breasts with nipple rings on each side that were connected by a chain.
Additionally, Katie showed off her sexy-baggy style in November when she sported a black see-through short-sleeved babydoll-style top that featured black lace detail, rounding out the look with a pair of baggy camouflage-printed pants.
Katie's look gave that certain Y2K feel with cargo pockets on the pants and a silver chain hanging from one of the side pockets.
She also paired the look with a black lacy bra, a few sparkly necklaces, and silver rings.
