Lena Dunham Credits Stassi Schroeder as Her Muse for This Outfit
The Girls creator rocked her best #OOTD, and gave credit to the Vanderpump Rules fashionista who founded a holiday based on the hashtag.
When Stassi Schroeder became a national holiday owner, she couldn't contain her excitement. "Holy sh--! I founded a freaking national holiday," she wrote on Instagram. She was referring, of course, to National #OOTD Day, which is by now a legend amongst Vanderpup Rules fans. (Let Stassi teach you how to take a flawless #OOTD photo by watching the video above.) And apparently, those fans include Lena Dunham.
Though Stassi's holiday technically falls on June 30, the Girls actress decided to celebrate it in the dead of winter anyway. After all, every day should be an opportunity to don your best #OOTD, and Dunham knows it. So on February 6, she posted a photo of herself pulling off a real lewk, and tipped her proverbial hat to the woman who inspired it.
Wearing thigh-high stockings, a silky green dress, and a shearling-lined overcoat, the actress flashed a peace sign. "Hey @stassischroeder I’m a little early but happy National #OOTD Day!" she wrote.
It's official! National #OOTD Day has really made it big. For more of Stassi's outfits, tune into Vanderpump Rules Mondays at 9/8c. And perhaps someday, in a Season to come, Lena will drop into SUR for a casual Pumptini? We hear it pairs nicely with satin, ribboned pumps!
