Top Chef Winner Jeremy Ford Just Announced Some Big News
Chef Jeremy Ford, winner of Bravo's Top Chef Season 13, has an exciting new project in the pipeline.
Bravo's Top Chef Season 13 winner Jeremy Ford is making big moves: The chef just signed a lease with Miami real estate investment firm the TREO Group to open a new restaurant: Afishonado. The new spot is slated for Regatta Harbour, the vibrant mixed-use development transforming the city's Coconut Grove waterfront area.
The chef’s new spot will be located at 3385 Pan American Drive, amid Regatta Harbour’s nearly 10 acres along historic Dinner Key. Chef Jeremy's spot will take over 7,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor space with great views of Biscayne Bay. As for the food, think casual dining with a focus on seafood and coastal cuisine.
Look out for seasonal menu items with responsible sourcing: fresh seafood, premium-quality meats, and produce from local fishmongers, farmers, and foragers.
"As a chef, I am always seeking innovative ways to showcase the best seasonal ingredients paired with a unique style of dining," Chef Jeremy said in a statement. “Being situated directly on the water, this location provides the perfect palette for Afishonado, enabling us to unite culinary prowess with Coconut Grove’s deep-rooted culture and community.”
The dining room's look will be all done in contrasting textures. There will be an open kitchen and raw bar. And who’s up for cocktails at the indoor-outdoor bar overlooking the water?
Well, you’re going to have to be comfortable with a pretty long wait for a table: Afishonado currently has a 2020 target opening date. It will then join Chef Jeremy's other Miami eateries, which include Stubborn Seed in Miami Beach and a food hall stall in Time Out Market.
