Padma Lakshmi Had One of the “Best Nights” on the Red Carpet in a Marchesa Ball Gown
The Top Chef host dazzled in a periwinkle blue organza number for the Time 100 Gala.
Back in February, Padma Lakshmi gave us one of the most adorable fashion moments with her daughter, Krishna, showing how in sync they are by wearing coordinated jumpsuits. They were “[t]winning and winning” as the mom posed in a short-sleeved black zip-up number, while the teenager rocked a short-sleeved blue denim style, adding aviator sunglasses and roller disco–ready skates to the mix.
More recently, the Bravo’s Top Chef host upped the fashion ante just a bit as she hit the red carpet for the Time 100 Gala in a stunning, sweeping ball gown. For the April 26 affair, Padma looked ravishing in a strapless periwinkle organza ball gown by Marchesa ($5,995), pairing the statement-making style with strappy silver heels by Gianvito Rossi ($950).
“Honestly? One of the best nights of my life!!” Padma captioned an Instagram post of several photos that showcased the beautiful cascading textured skirt and floral-detailed sweetheart neckline. “I met so many people I admire and got seated at the most fun table — it was an embarrassment of female riches.”
The cookbook author paired the dazzling style with dreamy periwinkle eye glam and a peachy blush and lip by makeup artist William Scott. She also rocked laid-back yet still glamorous loose waves by hairstylist Jeanie Syfu.
Padma’s stylist, Jason Rembert, also celebrated Padma’s look with a pretty post, showing off her sizzling style as she prepped for the event.
When she’s not slaying red carpets or traveling the globe, the children’s book author looks forward to experiencing “the ultimate luxury” at home.
“I have a bathtub in my bedroom,” Padma recently told Allure. “I want to stay in the bath, but I get bored in the bathroom. To me, that’s the ultimate luxury.” And speaking of indulgences, Padma’s bath sounds seriously decadent.
She told the beauty magazine that she often thickens her bathwater by adding milk or lassi to it. Padma also whips up bath oils and salts by hand. She infuses her homemade bath products with different scents, which she changes seasonally. On any given day, she might opt to soak in a geranium, neroli, black pepper–scented tub.
Though Padma didn’t specify which of her homes she was referring to when she sat down with Allure, she has previously opened up about the bathtub in her Hamptons home.
