Padma Lakshmi Rocked Slippers & a Snakeskin Slip Dress to the 2020 Emmys
The Bravo's Top Chef host brought a very different vibe to the 2020 Emmy Awards virtual red carpet.
The 2020 Emmy Awards red carpet looked a little different this year... especially for Padma Lakshmi. The Bravo's Top Chef host enjoyed the splendor of television's most important night from a socially-distant locale and for the occasion, she rocked a more low-key ensemble than in years past.
Padma shared an Emmys red carpet retrospective on Instagram over the weekend that featured some of her most glamorous looks over the years. From her dreamy, ice-blue Christian Siriano gown for the 2019 ceremony to her red-hot J.Mendel repeat gown to the 2018 Emmys, the glittering gang was all present.
But when it came time to choose a stunning look for this year's virtual show, Padma opted for a more understated (and definitely more comfortable) look fit for viewing from a couch. Padma glowed in a floor-length, silk, snakeskin print dress with spaghetti straps and a draped neckline. Padma paired the slinky frock with black, shearling slippers and the accessory of 2020 — a face mask.
In typical Padma style, she posted a side-by-side pic comparing last year's gown to this year's dress with a hilarious caption that just read, "YUP." She kept her makeup look equally pared down with touches of plum and glowing skin to prove that Padma doesn't need any glitz to shine.
