Monique Samuels Shares a Look at Her Early 2000s Style at Age 19
The RHOP beauty unearthed an incredible throwback photo from when she was starting out in the music industry.
Monique Samuels has been turning out incredible looks for years, and the latest batch of throwback photos she has shared is proof. Ahead of the release of her new music video, The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member gave us a look at how she looked as a teen who had just started pursuing a music career.
“Y’all!! I am SCREAMING!” Monique captioned the November 26 post she shared her old photos in. “Why my sister just send me these 17 year old throwback pics from when I first started pursuing a music career! 19 years old. Introducing HaZel.”
Monique also shared some details on her hair and makeup, adding, “Makeup by @rileyknoxx hair by me. I can’t right now.” (By the way, if the name Riley Knoxx rings a bell, it might be because Monique's fabulous yellow Season 5 reunion dress is Riley Knoxx Couture.)
In the first shot, Monique is rocking a strapless cut-off tube top, and a few essential early 2000s silver accessories, including a simple pair of hoops, a chain bellybutton ring, and a delicate heart necklace. For makeup, she went with a glossy, nude lip and shimmery eyeshadow. In the next photo, Monique sported a cold-shoulder body-con dress, complete with statement bell sleeves and an abstract print.
Monique has always been a skilled hair stylist. The mom of three recently told BravoTV.com that she began experimenting with her own hair when she was only 8 years old. Eventually, she began running her own salon business out of her bedroom, where she’d style her friends and mom’s coworkers.
“It was a nice little hustle,” she explained.
