Karen Huger Wore an H&M Suit from 15 Years Ago for Valentine's Day, and It Was Perfect
"I don’t know what I’m more excited about," the RHOP cast member said. "Date night with Ray or fitting into this [H&M] fit 15 years later!"
Karen Huger never minces her words when it comes to style. She's called Mia Thorton's look "entertaining," and has shared more choice adjectives about Gizelle Bryant’s fashion. (Peep the clip above.) But when it came to her own style for a very special date night, Karen was feeling just one thing: "excited."
In a February 14 Instagram post,The Real Housewives of Potomac grande dame shared a peek at her Valentine's Day getup. She was wearing a velvety red pantsuit that fit her like a glove — and Karen was colored pink about that. She wore a big smile in the pic and tilted her head to one side, letting her bejeweled earrings show.
In her caption, Karen let her followers in on the backstory behind her look. "I don’t know what I’m more excited about," she wrote. "Date night with Ray or fitting into this [H&M] fit 15 years later!"
The suit isn't new, but Karen put a fresh spin on styling it for the night out with her husband. Under the suit jacket, the perfume creator wore exactly ... nothing. And indeed, who needs any extra layers with a look that's as hot as a three-wick candle?
As Karen's date, Ray understood his assignment. Karen's Instagram Stories showed her man dressed in his Valentine's Day best. Ray wore a suit jacket over a cranberry-red sweater, and a silky pink collar popped out of the top. He continued the color scheme by tucking a dapper red handkerchief into his pocket.
After renewing her vows with Ray back in Season 6, Karen shared an update on her love life. "We're on a different level now," she told Bravo Insider. "We are at a totally different level after the vow renewal. People were asking me, 'Oh, Karen, are you worried about the curse of [the] vow renewal?' Oh my god! They didn't tell [me] — I mean, what if it works out and you make it through the curse?"
Karen continued: "We made it through the curse. We're still married. Our life, Lord Jesus, when does it stop? That's what I'm wondering. And it's funny. And it keeps us so closely bound to one another. He is my best friend. He's my rock. And he is my inspiration too."
