Karen Huger Reveals a Shocking Truth About Her Iconic Pink "Keyoncé" Hat
RHOP's Grande Dame's Beyoncé-inspired homecoming party look included one very unexpected material.
Karen Huger created quite a splash on the August 23 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, in which she threw an epic party to celebrate her return to the P. The Grande Dame’s homecoming bash featured lots of incredible moments, from its video invitation to the performing acrobats. However, the most legendary aspect of the night was Karen’s Beyoncé-inspired boss pink suit, which she has since dubbed her “Keyoncé” look, and featured a bright pink hat.
Karen opened up about the look during the August 29 episode of The Daily Dish podcast, which you can listen to below, and the secret she finally revealed about her pink hat will most definitely shock you.
When asked how she felt about some of the women’s comments on the party that were made throughout the episode, Karen was unsurprisingly unfazed. However, she did get defensive over one tiny detail: her hat.
“Leave my hat alone,” she joked, adding, “I had the hat made. That hat was so painful, though, oh my god. It was made of cardboard.”
We certainly weren’t expecting that! Although it’s a bummer to hear that the iconic accessory was uncomfortable, it’s pretty incredible to know that it’s most likely fully recyclable.
Karen also teased another untold gem from her party on the podcast; in response to those who criticized the Grande Dame for throwing a Beyoncé-inspired performance without including her husband, Ray, Karen had just one thing to say.
“I have all the pictures to prove it. Ray was beyond my Jay-Z that night.”
