Karen Huger’s Daughter, Rayvin, Opens Up About Her “Colorful and Fluid” Style

In Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Potomac: Karen's Grande Dame Reunion, Karen Huger's daughter, Rayvin, showed up at her parents' home with a suitcase in tow and a fierce outfit. A lot has changed since RHOP fans saw Rayvin drive off to college on the show four years ago, and the monochromatic getup — an oversize tuxedo vest, wide-leg pants, and a beret, all in the same shade of cobalt — signified the shift. "I've picked up some international fashion," Rayvin, who had just returned from London, announced in the April 17 episode. 

A quick look at the Penn State grad's Instagram proves her statement-making outfit was not a one-off. Her feed is filled with expertly styled photo shoots featuring Rayvin clad in fearless ensembles bursting with color, texture, and patterns — all evoking the various moods of the recent stamps in her passport. "I have been all over the globe," she said in the episode. "First was Tulum, Mexico, and then I went to the Hamptons for a month. Then I went to St. Croix, I was in the Caribbean, [I went] to L.A. I ended up in London."

And yet, Rayvin doesn't need to get on a plane to feel inspired. "I am pulling inspiration for my outfits from everywhere all the time," she shared with BravoTV.com via email this month. For example: "Posters, magazines. I've even had a look inspired by a rug I saw at a thrift store," she wrote. "Anything can be art and influential."

Although she describes her style as "fluid," it is undoubtedly hers. "I always have to make a look my own, spice it up, and add a funky 'Rayvin' twist to it," she said. "It is unsettling to me to look like anybody else."

Except, it seems, her mother, who is a sartorial force in her own right. When it comes to style, Rayvin shared that she emulates Karen, whose "fashion glow up" garnered recognition in Paper magazine. "That woman knows glamour!" Rayvin said. "Don't let me get into her closet." 

Right now, Rayvin's creative aspirations know no bounds. In her professional endeavors, she shared that she wants to "touch all parts of the creative field," including "music, interior design," and "of course" the fashion industry. Another pursuit hits closer to home. When asked by a producer on RHOP if Rayvin sees herself as a "grande dame in the making," she gave a resounding, "Yes, 100 percent."
