What Is the Dubrow Diet? Terry and Heather Dubrow Explain

Heather Dubrow is pretty proud of the way she eats. In fact, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is so committed to what she calls "interval eating" that she co-authored a book about it — you may have heard of The Dubrow Diet?

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

But, listen: Even though Heather is a fully-formed diet expert now, this wasn't always so. And like all of us, the Orange County pal looks back on the way she ate in college with some mix of bemusement and horror.

While appearing on Live With Kelly and Ryan alongside her husband, Terry Dubrow, Heather threw it back to her sorority days. When showing Kelly and Ryan a spread of foods you can eat while following the Dubrow Diet, Heather landed on baked apples. "I don't know about you but in my sorority, we used to do baked apples and diet soda and Splenda in the microwave," she said. 'That was bad! But we did a healthier version of it for you."

Other approved items on the Dubrow Diet: Bone broth, gazpach with protein, and — yes — chocolate cake. Click here to see the clip.
