Gretchen Rossi's Baby Shower Pics: See the Over-the-Top Cake and Dessert Spread!
Pregnant Gretchen Rossi feted her new baby with a luxurious dessert spread — including towering cake — at her baby shower.
Mama-to-be Gretchen Rossi has been steadily ticking off milestones on her way to becoming a mom. And now The Real Housewives of Orange County alum can check off one more milestone: Her baby shower is in the bag! Of course — given what Gretchen and dad-to-be Slade Smiley's over-the-top gender-reveal party foreshadowed — the shower was an epic affair, with an epic sweets menu to match.
Gretchen's lavish pink and white affair included a dessert spread on an epic scale, all presented on pedestals in the most Instagram-friendly way possible: in front of a pink wall emblazoned with the baby's name, Skylar Gray, dripping with pink roses and white orchids. The centerpiece of the dessert displays was a six-tiered cake, all done in shades of pale pink and white. Golden details and a gold "S" added an extra dose of poshness to the confection, which was topped with — appropriately — a gold-detailed crown fit for a royal baby.
Orange County-based Glamour Flower Boutique, which designed both the floral backdrop and the cake and sweets display, shared plenty of images during an Instagram live walkthrough of the outrageous details:
Gretchen wrote on Instagram, "Thank you so much, @maisondelafork for this epic 7 tier cake!"
The sweets display also featured cupcakes topped with truly intricate details, such as white dresses and baby carriages. Delicate sugar cookies — also by Maison de La Fork — were topped with edible forms of sleeping babies. Gretchen called them the "cutest cookies ever."
Other cookies took the form of baby clothes hanging on delicate hangers, presented on golden wire structures festooned with pink roses.
Pink roses also decorated chocolate strawberry displays ready to be plucked from elegant towers.
And, naturally, there were dainty macarons in the same color palette — presented on towers topped with pink ribbons bearing the message, "It's a girl."
There's one thing for sure — this baby is well fed already!
