Meghan King Celebrates a Milestone for Her Daughter, Aspen, in the Sweetest Way
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum documented a very special moment for her little girl.
The baby girl in the video above is a baby no more! Meghan King’s daughter, Aspen King Edmonds, is growing up fast. And as she reaches milestones, her mama makes sure to celebrate them — sometimes with whipped cream.
In a recent Instagram Story, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared a photo of her little girl smiling over an exceptionally sweet breakfast plate. As Aspen stuck her fork into pancakes loaded with syrup, whipped cream, and festive sprinkles, Meghan reflected on the occasion that called for the extra dose of sugar.
“Happy half birthday to the brightest light: My baby girl! 6 1/2 today AND her last day of kindergarten,” Meghan wrote. The photo showed off Aspen’s too-cute outfit for the day, which was a jaunty blue dress with a red-striped sailor collar. The kindergarten graduate also had a shiny red manicure.
It’s hard to believe Aspen is nearly 7 years old! In the clip above, Meghan sweetly reflects on new motherhood. “To actually see baby Aspen for the first time was so incredible because I’d been through so much,” she reveals, reflecting on her emotional fertility journey. “She’s a beautiful baby.” And clearly, Aspen is a beautiful, happy 6-and-a-half-year-old too!
Based on how sweet Aspen’s half birthday was, you might assume that the little girl’s actual birthday bashes are pretty sweet too. And you’d be correct!
Back in 2018, Meghan hosted a fun second birthday for Aspen at a local kids’ activity center. She shared photos from the cute birthday bash and also shared some thoughts on being a mom — and hosting parties!
In her caption, the RHOC alum jokingly wrote, “Aspen had a spectacular birthday party! I learned that I never want to host a kid’s birthday at my house.” She then went on to describe the joyful chaos of Aspen’s gathering: “Aspen and her friends didn’t stop playing until the end. She was smiling the entire time and wore herself out!”
By her third birthday in 2019, Aspen was even decorating cakes! In Instagram Stories that documented Aspen’s special day, Meghan shared a picture of her little one adding Frozen figurines to the top of an ice-blue cake.
“She found the ‘little guys’ I bought for her cake and decorated it without any direction,” the awed mama wrote. “3 going on 30.” The cake had elegant swirls of frosting, edible snowflakes, and a birthday message written on top. And, of course, there was a candle shaped like the number 3.
