Heather Dubrow Clears Up a “Misconception” About Her Living Situation
Although she recently bought an incredible L.A. penthouse, it turns out the RHOC cast member is “still living in Orange County.”
Heather Dubrow has homes in different area codes. Though she and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, recently sold their storied Orange County mansion, the Dubrow Chateau, and bought a place in Los Angeles, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is still an OC resident. She clarified her living situation in a recent interview.
Chatting with The Wrap, the former actress said, “We didn’t actually move [to Century City], we bought a place there and that’s supposed to be a place for me and Terry to live someday, like when the kids leave. So there’s a little bit of a misconception here,” She emphasized: “We are actually still living in Orange County. Our kids go to school there. We’re still in Orange County.”
At BravoCon 2022 last October, Heather revealed that she and Terry had bought a “love shack” in Los Angeles. A few days later, she told ET that they also sold their 22,000-square-foot Newport Beach mansion for $55 million.
Dishing with the publication, the mother of four said, “With two kids at college, we’ve been thinking about our next move. We just bought a cool penthouse in L.A. and sometimes the universe shows you the right direction. Change is exciting!”
The sale of Dubrow Chateau set a record for the largest sale of the year in Orange County, California, and was the third-highest sale in Orange County history. And according to ET, rumors suggest that Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles’ Josh Altman represented the Dubrows in the sale, which was unexpected since the house wasn’t even on the market.
Though Heather brought her fellow RHOC cast members along to Mexico in Season 16 to view a property on which she and Terry planned to build a vacation home, that plan hadn’t come to fruition when Heather shared an update at BravoCon. “The thing about Cabo is it’s L.A. prices right now,” Heather noted during the panel.
However, it seems she and Terry have their hearts set on building that vacation home someday. On the January 19, 2022, episode of RHOC, Heather said, “Terry and I have been talking about vacation homes for the last two years. What I picture is a really beautiful, cool, sexy hideaway.”
“I would love to build a house in Cabo,” she emphasized on the show’s February 2 episode. However, selecting the property was going to require some compromise with her husband. “When Terry and I talk about a budget, design, I am looking for something that speaks to me,” she said. “Terry wants to make sure it’s also speaking to his wallet.”
