Emily Simpson is committed to her health in 2020, and she's proving just how hard she's willing to train in a recent set of Instagram Stories. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom has been open about her struggles with weight and body image after undergoing a painful hip surgery, and now, she's sharing her rigorous fitness routine designed to help her shed even more weight and gain strength. Trust us — it's not for the faint of heart.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Emily took to her Instagram Stories to post a few videos as she worked out with her trainer Paulina Hefferan and we were tired, too, watching Emily take on every move. In one of her videos, Emily can be seen hiking (with her svelte bod on full display, no less) in the early hours of the morning with her hands held above her head. According to her post, she walks up the hill three times, climbs stairs 10 times and then bangs out 100 squats and push ups. Phew. And yes, her hands are painfully placed this way for a reason, explains her trainer.

"6:15 am sunrise cardio session with @rhoc_emilysimpson," Paulina wrote in her post.  "People always ask, why arms above her head? Well... blood circulation is important for calorie burn! This circulates her blood flow and also forces her to engage her core for that extra burn!!!!! This girl is looking amazing and down 7% body fat!!!"

But apparently her workout is even tougher than Emily even realized. Paulina was quick to point out that, in fact, Emily churns out the stairs a whopping 15 times, hills four times with 200 squats (wow), and 100 push ups. Exhausting.

Emily even shared some of the core work that she does during her session and that alone made us break out into a sweat. Keep up the good work, Emily!
