Kelly Dodd’s House Hunt Is Really Heating Up
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom's new life needs some new digs.
When Kelly Dodd bought her palatial Corona del Mar mansion back in 2014, she redid everything top to bottom, sparing no expense. “I built that house from the ground up,” The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member said recently about the 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home. “I had a steam shower, I had a La Cornue range. I had a bar on every floor, I had a Kegerator, I had an ice machine.”
But she had to say goodbye to all that when her 11-year marriage to businessman Michael Dodd collapsed. The glamorous beach mansion was sold last year for a whopping $5 million dollars, and Kelly and her daughter, Jolie, downsized to a much simpler though none too shabby beach condo.
But now Kelly is ready to set out to find her dream home. She recently let us in on the fact that her hunt for new digs is heating up in earnest. “I’m buying a house, I’m looking to buy a house right now,” she disclosed when she stopped by Bravo HQ. “My daughter, you know, she’s helping me but she always has some kind of negative opinion,” she noted, laughing.
The new house is just one of Kelly’s goals as she embarks on a new life — she’s also working on a new business venture (recently revealing on Instagram that she’s launching a clothing line called No Skills).
As for what Kelly is looking for in a new house, another huge renovation project is most definitely not in the cards. “I have a lot going on, yes. I don’t want to build again, I just want to move in and be done with it.”
