Heather Dubrow's Fabulous OC Mansion Is Missing Only One Thing
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is keeping things modern to the max.
The fireplace mantle may represent the hearth of the home to many of us, but Heather Dubrow is kind of over it. When it came to outfitting her newest home — a 22,000 square foot Orange County manse dubbed “Dubrow Chateau” — Heather refused to include them. There are fireplaces aplenty, for sure, swathed in myriad floor-to-ceilng stone options. But mantles? Nope.
“Mantles to me seem old fashioned,” said The Real Housewives of Orange County alum on her YouTube series Heather's Closet. “And you have to put something on the mantle and then it gets all tchotchke-dinked-up. I wanted clean surfaces.”
And that is definitely what she got. Just check out the double-height honed marble fireplace that adorns her husband Terry’s office — not a tchotchke-dink in sight! "I love these flush mantles," Heather said. "I love that it’s modern and takes your eye up to the ceiling. "
Same goes for Heather's office fireplace, which features a different type of polished marble... but the same mantle-free design.
Surely there is one in their main family room though, right? Still no! In here Heather actually recessed the TV and fireplace into the room's stone-covered wall. Genius. We may love us a mantle... but we're also loving Dubrow Chateau's clean lines and clutter-free aesthetic. (Catch up on all things RHOC here!)
