Bethenny Frankel Shares Pics of Her Hilarious Travel Disguise to Avoid Attention as "Fish Allergy Bitch"
The Real Housewives of New York City mogul is going to great (and pretty hilarious) lengths.
By now, it's widely known that Bethenny Frankel, who has a potentially lethal food allergy, encountered some serious drama when she boarded a flight only to find out that the on-board meal was seafood — even though she called ahead multiple times — and exposure to the meal could have killed her.
Though media reports initially suggested that the The Real Housewives of New York City pal's plane turned around mid-flight, the actual event did not involve a diversion. Instead, the pilot reportedly announced that he was willing to turn the flight around, but ultimately did not. Nevertheless Bethenny was humiliated as well as put in the line of danger — and the incident has fueled her passion to help spread awareness about how airborne pathogens might affect passengers. Indeed, Bethenny has kept the conversation going on her social media about the dangers and changing airline protocols to protect vulnerable individuals — and some people have gone public that they're frankly just sick of hearing her talk about it. Well, Bethenny hears those people... and shuts them down handily. And now she's getting in on the joke (even if the humor is dark).
On her Instagram Stories, Bethenny shared a pair of photos of herself on an airplane. In the first, she's wearing a wide-brimmed hat pulled down over her eyes, and a scarf pulled up to her nose. She captioned it, "This is how I travel on planes now so no one can see who the pain in the ass w the allergy [is]... #fishallergybitch."
In the second image, Bethenny hides behind the spread pages of a newspaper... with holes punched through it for only her glasses to be seen on the outside, while her face is fully concealed behind the newsprint.
You gotta laugh so you don't cry up in the not-so-friendly skies these days, right Bethenny?
