Exclusive Video: Bethenny Frankel Helps Save a Storm-Ravaged Bar in Puerto Rico
The Real Housewives of New York City humanitarian "jumped" in to help on Bar Rescue: Operation Puerto Rico.
Bethenny Frankel has been fiercely devoted to helping the people (and animals!) of Puerto Rico recover from recent hurricanes. But the B Strong founder also extends her rescue efforts to local businesses, and she recently rolled up her sleeves to help a local bar.
The Real Housewives of New York City pal's volunteerism was documented on Bar Rescue, which is hosted by entrepreneur Jon Taffer. Taffer was already working on a project to help restore a bar on the northeastern coast of Puerto Rico when the Skinnygirl founder came to mind.
In a video clip that previews the Bar Rescue episode on which Bethenny appears, Taffer says: "Bethenny Frankel has played a big part in the relief efforts for Puerto Rico. When I told her about my rescue, she jumped at the chance to assist the town, Loiza."
And jumped was the right word to use. "When Jon called and said that he had a project in place, of course I jumped at the opportunity," Bethenny echoed. "I had an organization called B Strong for women and families in crisis, so what greater a crisis than an island that could not get any relief to it?"
