Luann de Lesseps Is Launching an Alcohol-Free Rosé
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member is focusing on an exciting new venture.
On The Real Housewives of New York City's Season 13 premiere, Luann de Lesseps excitedly showed Ramona Singer her new drink of choice. "This is a non-alcoholic rosé," she said. "It's amazing."
Luann discovered the drink when she and her daughter, Victoria, were "looking for stuff, because Victoria doesn't drink and I'm not drinking right now," she explained. On the show's May 18 episode, Luann gave more details about why it had become her new go-to beverage in social settings. "I want to feel included, like I'm drinking wine," she said. "And my faux-sé wine bottle, which is not the real deal, makes me feel good."
Now, Luann is ready to turn her passion for the drink into a business. As noted on the August 31 Season 13 finale, Luann is "focusing on her sobering new venture, a non-alcoholic rosé."
Luann opened up about the product on the May 2 episode of Danny Pellegrino's Everything Iconic podcast. "I am tired of having a mocktail, and there’s not a mixologist at every bar, obviously, so it comes back and it’s sweet and it’s disgusting and it doesn’t taste good," she said. "So I’m coming out, this fall, with an elevated sparkling rosé that’s gonna knock your socks off. And it’s low-calorie, and there’s nothing on the marketplace like that. So I decided, out of necessity, my invention is something that makes me feel like I’m drinking along with everybody else.”
