Leah McSweeney Shares Photo-Proof of the Bag Her Sonja Morgan Sweatsuit Arrived In
The Real Housewives of New York City newcomer admitted the bag "was a tad better then the plastic bag" she returned it in... "but not much better!"
Sonja Morgan's fashion show, as seen in the April 30 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, was a sartorial spectacle. Her collection was full of fun, flirty, show-stopping pieces. But perhaps one of the more memorable moments of the evening involved newcomer Leah McSweeney and the Sonja by Sonja Morgan outfit she refused to wear. After all, what's a fashion show without a bit of behind-the-scenes drama?
As you may recall, Sonja sent all the 'Wives pieces from her line to wear to the fashion show. While Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, and Tinsley Mortimer were more than happy with their sexy, glittery Sonja by Sonja Morgan frocks, Leah was less than pleased with the only option Sonja sent her. In fact, Leah compared the light gray cashmere sweatsuit to "waking up with a horse head in the bed."
Not one to hold back, Leah confronted Sonja at the fashion show and ended up returning the outfit to Sonja in a plastic bag. When Leah handed Sonja the bag, Sonja yelled, "I gave you a nice bag!" However, Leah's memory served her differently. According to Leah, the outfit came in a "brown paper bag that was ripped open." And she has the pictures to prove it.
In an Instagram post shared on April 30, Leah gave us more insight into the her delivery from Sonja. In a series of photos, Leah shared a snap of herself wearing the gray sweatsuit at home as well as a photo of the infamous bag it arrived in. In the snap, the sweatsuit (and let's not forget the accompanying fuchsia fedora and shades) was housed in a large brown paper bag marked "Leah" that was indeed ripped open.
"Ok, so the bag @sonjatmorgan sent the jail outfit in was a tad better then the plastic bag. But not much better!!!" she captioned the post along with a laughing face emoji. She added in a hashtag, "Nothing but love for you, Sonja."
