Here’s Why Wendy Williams Is “Forced to Like” Bethenny Frankel Now
After putting The Real Housewives of New York City business mogul "on blast" in the past, it looks like the talk show host has come around.
There's no doubt about it: Wendy Williams can be shady when she wants to be. And sometimes, Bethenny Frankel has been the victim of that sass. (Watch the clip above to hear Bethenny discuss an anecdote that just proves that fact. "She loves to put me on blast," Bethenny said then.) But these days, Williams is finding she has more in common with Bethenny than ever — and she's hesitantly admitting a new fondness for The Real Housewives of New York City business mogul.
In a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the host said, "Bethenny Frankel has never been my favorite person. Is that a secret?"
But now: "I'm forced to like her," she confessed, before turning to a picture of Bethenny on the big screen behind her. "I like you," she told the image. "And I'm team you."
Williams proceeded to explain she can sympathize with Bethenny as she faces down a complicated divorce. She then had some unfavorable words to say about the RHONY mom's ex-husband. And, since she's going through a divorce of her own right now (perhaps you've heard?), Williams even suggested the two would have a lot to talk about if Bethenny would be willing to come back on her show.
"Bethenny, I want you to come on this talk show, and we'll talk about everything. We've got a lot in common these days," she said. "I'll ask her, how you doin? And then she'll say to me: how you doin? And then I'll say to her give me a hug, and she'll say, hug me tighter."
