The RHONJ Season 10 Reunion Set Pays Homage to the Very Ugly Season 1 Set
With its checkered floors and gaudy decor, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 reunion set is a nod to "the ugliest" reunion set from a decade ago.
It's been 10 long years since The Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies first gathered on the couches with Andy Cohen to rehash an explosive inaugural season. At the time, a very pregnant Teresa Giudice graced the couch as one of the OG Jersey 'Wives — and is the only one still a member of the cast.
To fete a fabulous decade of table flips, wild trips to the Jersey shore, and whole lot of great Italian cooking, something special was arranged for the set of the Season 10 reunion (Part 1 airs Wednesday, March 4 at 8/7c!). "In honor of our 10th season, you may have noticed that this set actually pays homage to our first set," Andy told the 'Wives at the sit-down.
"There's a photograph of it back there," the host noted, while pointing to a framed portrait of the Season 1 cast on the couches.
"The floor is identical. The bedazzled [New] Jersey behind me is a replica of the centerpiece from the first set, which was largely viewed as the ugliest set we've ever had on any Housewives reunion," Andy said — and honestly, we have to agree. With its black-and-white checkered floors, powder blue walls, and cluster of oddly-placed colorful chandeliers, the Season 1 set was a hot gaudy mess.
This year's iteration kept the spirit of the iconic set, but included a modern upgrade with glittering crystal lights, a gold and marble coffee table, and blue velvet sofas.
Cheers to 10 fabulous years!
