Kathy Wakile Reflects on Her Life as a Hairdresser Before Becoming a Real Housewife
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum opened up about working in the beauty industry for "so many years"
On The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we got to see alum Kathy Wakile turn her passion for cooking and baking into a successful culinary career (which she has since expanded on). But long before Kathy found her calling in the kitchen, the Jersey mom pursued a very different line of occupation — one in the beauty industry.
While opening up about her life before RHONJ in a Life After Bravo interview, Kathy shared quite an interesting fact about herself. "A lot of people don't know that I was a hairdresser," Kathy revealed in the Bravo Insider exclusive clip above. "I did it while I was in high school and then continued on. I had a very, very busy clientele. And I loved every minute of it," she said.
Her experience in the beauty business was not short-lived either. Kathy further explained that she was a hairdresser for "so many years" before becoming a stay-at-home mom. When her kids got older, Kathy even debated returning to her beauty career before joining the Jersey Housewives in Season 3.
