Ashlee Holmes Malleo Shows the Results of Box-Dying Her Own Hair: "Not Even Sorry"
Jacqueline Laurita's daughter took matters into her own hands amid self-quarantine.
As a makeup artist, Ashlee Holmes Malleo is certainly not afraid to test the waters when it comes to experimenting with DIY beauty treatments. And like most people, Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter can’t just swing by the salon when she needs a color touch-up, as all salons and barber shops are closed across the state due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. So, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum took matters into her own hands, and dyed her hair at home.
“I box dyed my hair,” Ashlee explained in an April 5 Instagram post. “Not even sorry about it. Thanks Revlon.”
Ashlee also shared the specific product she used: Revlon Total Color in shade 40 Dark Brown, which sells for $7 on Amazon. She explained that the dye is clean and vegan.
Ashlee also jokingly shared another self-quarantine beauty update with her followers, adding, “Don’t tell me to 'smile' because bitch is overdue for her botox and filler and quarantine hasn’t been that kind.”
Speaking of filler, Ashlee revealed how long it’s been since she’s last had her lips done. In response to a comment a follower left about her lips, Ashlee said, “I haven’t had my lips done in like...a year.”
Although attempting to color your own hair at home can be risky, it’s not as bold as one of Ashlee’s other recent experiments. On March 29, she whipped out her special effects makeup kit to create a super scary zombie look, complete with extremely convincing bumps and wounds.
