Melissa Gorga Shows Exactly How She Does Her Signature Sultry Eyeshadow

When we think of a Melissa Gorga-level glam, we imagine a sultry, seductive eyeshadow look paired with a radiant complexion and a glossy nude lip (or red, for a bold pout). Last year, we got The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom to spill the secret behind her next-level glow (learn all about her holy-grail highlighter here) and now we got Melissa to share another step to her signature lewk. While giving The Lookbook a tour of her luxe vanity, Melissa blessed us with a full tutorial on how to create a perfect sultry eyeshadow look. "The one thing that I have learned with makeup is it’s all in the blending," she began.

To create the base of her look, Melissa uses a dark brown eyeshadow and applies it all along the lids using a fluffy tapered eyeshadow brush. "You always wanna put like your darkest color on your lid," she added. Then, she uses a light neutral eyeshadow and blends it in right beneath her eyebrows using a flat brush to highlight her brow bone. 

Last, Melissa's special blending technique comes into play. She applies a medium, neutral brown eyeshadow along her crease with a tapered fluffy eyeshadow brush by using a motion she calls the "windshield wiper," which involves moving the brush side to side to blend in the product. "You literally do the windshield wiper for as long as your little fingers will let you in the center of your eye and don't go out too far, you want it to stop right where your eye is," she explained.
