In last night's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga celebrated her 40th birthday in style (catch up here.) As we saw on an earlier episode of RHONJ, the Envy Boutique owner worked with party planner Lawrence Scott on the big celebration. After all, a party this big is best handled by the pros.
In the clip above, the Jersey mom confessed: "I'm not usually one to give anybody the reigns and let anyone else control a party for me. But this year, I said, you only turn 40 once. I wanted to be surprised." Her verdict? The party pro: "Absolutely killed it." We tend to agree.
Overlooking the Jersey skyline from New York City's Tribeca 360, the party paid homage to the birthday girl in a deliciously over-the-top way. Decor included artful renditions of Melissa's peepers in several spots, including on the DJ booth. "My eyes are everywhere!" she coos, in the video above. There were also sexy photos of the fashion plate lounging in a bed of red roses, and the slogan Melissa Gorgeous decked the walls. (Well, she is.)
