Celebs Are Making New Jersey a Destination for Fake Boobs
"Get my boobies out of my armpits!"
When you think of the Garden State, you probably think of diners, Chris Christie, and Newark —but there's something far bigger going on in Jersey, literally, and that's the celebrity boob biz.
"I do a lot of celebrities," shares John Paul Tutela, MD and Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. "Most celebrities are in line with the general population in the Northeast. They are looking for natural results, which is my personal preference and where I specialize." One of those celebrities is the poster child for all things Jersey, Snooki, and you may have recently read about her post-baby boob upgrade.
"Snooki found me through a mutual friend and patient who was thrilled with her results and referred her to me," explains the microsurgery expert. "She was very straightforward about her goals and was very understanding of the proposed procedure, likely outcomes, and what to expect in the recovery period. She was also always very funny to be around and was a pleasure to care for. Most of our appointments were filled with jokes and laughing. She is practicing to be a medium, as seen on her show with JWoww, and she even did a reading on me. That was the first time I did anything like that and it was very interesting."
When the new mom walked into Dr. Tutela's office initially, she begged him to get her "boobies out [her] armpits," and increase the volume, projection, and cleavage of her all-you-can-eat baby buffet.
The celeb-fave doc performed mastopexy augmentation, which is known to the average gal as silicone implants. The lift removed excess skin and repositioned the saggy breast tissue and weathered nipples, while the implant added volume and cleavage.
"There were no issues postoperatively—she did great! She joked around on her show that she felt like her nipples were falling off, because she had surgical tape around them, but they absolutely were not. She really had a very smooth postoperative course." So there you have it: New Jersey is the state for big, bouncy boobs where the nipples stay totally on.
