Here’s Where Caroline Stanbury and Chanel Ayan's "Relationship in Progress" Stands
The RHODubai cast members "broke down a lot of barriers" at BravoCon 2022.
The Real Housewives of Dubai's Caroline Stanbury and Chanel Ayan have had more downs than ups in their friendship, but, these days, they're headed in a more positive direction.
While taping a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show from BravoCon 2022, Andy Cohen told Caroline that it had been "fun" seeing her and Ayan together at the three-day New York City event. Noting that Ayan was just telling him some "very positive things" about the Ladies of London alum, he asked about the status of their relationship.
"We're working on it," Caroline revealed during the episode, which aired on Wednesday, October 19. "It's a relationship in progress, and today we broke down a lot of barriers."
After Andy gushed that the news made him "very happy," Ayan also chimed in with her own take. "We do have a lot of good moments where we have a lot of fun," she added. "So, if we stick to that, and [Caroline is] good with that, I think we'll be OK."
As fans saw throughout RHODubai's inaugural season, the women were constantly at odds with one another, not least of all when Ayan showed up to Caroline and now-husband Sergio Carrallo's engagement party in what the bride-to-be deemed to be a competing bridal look. “Come on, people. She came as me,” Caroline insisted on a July WWHL episode.
After earlier noting that fans didn't understand why she was "so bothered" by the incident, Andy also asked Caroline to give Ayan the benefit of the doubt and consider the possibility that the look was “a tribute” to her. But Caroline remained dubious of her fellow cast member's intentions.
“You think Ayan paid tribute to me?” she responded. “If I was dead, maybe!”
My, how far they've come!
