Sutton Stracke's New $5M House "Represents [Her] Independence as a Single Woman"
The RHOBH cast member opened up about the significance of her new home and gave a peek inside the renovation process.
Sutton Stracke's new house underwent a lengthy renovation, but it was certainly worth the wait to create her dream home. On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' September 1 episode, Sutton showed Kyle Richards around her new 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom home, which was still under construction at the time.
"We stripped the floors, we've sanded them, we've redone all the electrical," Sutton said while walking around the 6,000-square-foot abode. "Doesn't this kitchen look great?"
As Kyle looked around the kitchen, she quipped, "It looks like we'll be making a lot of money off of you."
As RHOBH viewers know, while Sutton's house was under construction, she rented Kyle and Mauricio Umansky's Bel-Air home for $20,000 per month. In an interview during the episode, Kyle joked, "While Sutton's waiting for her house to be ready, I'm just, like, counting the rent."
For Sutton, the house signifies an important new chapter in her life. "I personally was kind of a shell of a person after my divorce was announced, and ended up at the finish line with a new house and a new Bentley and great friends and living my best life," she said. "This house kind of represents my independence as a single woman. This is a house that I'm gonna live in when my children are gone."
She added, "I think that this is just so symbolic to me."
In an August 24 Instagram Story, Sutton announced that she was finally moving into the $5.35 million house. Showing an empty room filled with dozens of boxes, she wrote, "When the boxes move in, you know it's real!" In a separate post, she added, "Let the real unpacking begin…"
