Kyle Richards Reveals Her Plans to Move Out of Los Angeles
"I'm going to choose some place to live that is more conducive to what brings me happiness," the RHOBH cast member said.
Kyle Richards grew up in Los Angeles and has continued to raise her own family there, but as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member looks to the future, she feels ready to say goodbye to her hometown.
Kyle Richards plans to move out of Los Angeles
Kyle shared her desire to move on Season 13 Episode 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, when the group took a trip to Ojai, California. "When I'm here, places like this, I think this is how I wanna live, just like this," she told her castmates. "Quiet, away from everybody."
"I will always have a love for Los Angeles," Kyle continued in an interview during the episode, which aired on January 10. "But I just don't feel as connected to it as I used to. The things that make me happy are being outside, running by the river, [and] hiking with my dogs. So one day, when Portia [Umansky]'s done with school, I'm going to choose some place to live that is more conducive to what brings me happiness."

Currently, Kyle has three houses. She and her family moved into their Encino home in 2017, and Kyle has spent the last couple of years remodeling it. "I’m just changing everything in the house to make it exactly the way I want it, because I think it really is our forever home,” Kyle told BravoTV.com in May 2022. “Even if I move one day to, like, Aspen, Colorado, I’ll keep that home for my kids or something.”
Those changes include redesigning the living room and upgrading the backyard, which you can check out in the video above.
In addition to their primary home, the family also has two vacation homes, one in La Quinta, California, and another in Aspen. Kyle and Mauricio Umansky previously owned a different home in Aspen before moving into their current one in 2022. “Our family is growing [and] we simply need more space,” Kyle explained in an Instagram Story at the time, adding that she is “never leaving Aspen.”

While Kyle isn't ready to make a move just yet, her daughter Alexia Umansky recently settled into a new home. After moving back in with Kyle and Mauricio in their Encino house after her college graduation in 2018, Alexia recently packed up and moved to her first home with her boyfriend of more than four years, Jake Zingerman. She shared a peek at their cozy living room on January 8, and noted in a January 9 Instagram Story that she would be sharing more about the home "soon" and declared, "There's still soo much left to do!!"
